GET OUT THE EARLY VOTE OCTOBER 15 - 25

Be part of the effort that will elect union-friendly officials in Mississippi on November 3! Our supported candidates submitted positive answers to our endorsement questionnaire and that's why we're working to help them.

Union voters are already casting their votes, and as we move into the final weeks before Election Day, we have a critical window to bank union votes. We’ll do this by sharing key early-voting dates and locations, and hosting Solidarity Voting Events. Let’s show our collective power by voting together!

Our Get Out the Early Vote week of action will be a nationally coordinated effort focused on getting union members and their family to vote early. This overview is intended to provide states with the tools, supports, and best practices to create and host successful early-voting events.

EVENTS

WHAT IT CAN LOOK LIKE

Solidarity Voting Events

Organize community-building events—such as picnics, barbecues, fish fries, field days and fairs—near early voting sites to encourage union members and their families to visit and vote together.

Partner with endorsed candidates to host rallies near early voting and ballot drop-off locations.

Canvassing and Phone Banking

Script shifting for ballot chasing and early voting. Deploy canvassers near early voting sites based on the hours they are open and encourage unions to do the same near jobsites.

Join Community Allies’ Events

Coordinate with community organizations or labor constituency groups for rides to the polls and ballot drop-off visits.

Digital Campaign Messaging

Schedule a social media and text campaign highlighting the importance of early voting, including state-specific dates, times, and locations.
