Michael "Mickey" Carr is a respected leader and advocate for working people, with over 26 years of dedicated service as a member of the IAMAW Local 2249 at Stennis Space Center. For two decades, he served as President of Local 2249, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of workers and their families.

Before being elected as President of the MS AFL-CIO, Mickey served as Vice President on the executive board, where he developed his leadership skills and deepened his dedication to the labor movement.

Mickey resides in Carriere, Mississippi, where he embraces the simplicity and traditions of farm life, inspired by his grandfather's legacy. He and his wife, Alisa Carr, are proud parents of six children and proud grandparents of fifteen grandchildren, cherishing family values as the cornerstone of their lives.

With a career devoted to championing the rights of working individuals, Mickey's leadership continues to inspire and uphold the mission of the MS AFL-CIO. He encourages all affiliates to support and participate in the fight against anti-labor initiatives.
